Privacy Policy
What we collect
When you use Forge, we collect:
- Account info — name, email, age, photos, and the training details you add to your profile.
- Location — approximate location, used to show you athletes, workouts, and races nearby. You control this in iOS Settings.
- Connected apps — if you link Strava, we import the activity data you authorize (pace, mileage, routes). You can disconnect at any time.
- Verification photo — used only to confirm you're a real person; it is not shown on your profile.
- Usage data — how you use the app, to keep Forge safe and improve matching.
How we use it
- To match you with athletes, workouts, and races near you.
- To verify members and keep the community safe.
- To send the notifications you opt into.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who run Forge (hosting, analytics, verification) under contract, or when the law requires.
Your controls
- Delete your account any time in Profile → Settings → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile and data from our systems within 30 days.
- Export or correct your data by emailing us.
- Location & notifications can be revoked in iOS Settings without deleting your account.
Safety & verification
Forge is built around meeting real people, so trust comes first:
- Photo verification — every member takes a live verification photo before they can match. The green check on a profile means it passed review.
- Report & block — tap ··· on any profile or message to report or block. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours, and blocked members can never see or contact you.
- Location privacy — other members only ever see your approximate area, never your exact location or routes.
Retention & security
We keep your data while your account is active. Verification photos are deleted after review. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Children
Forge is for users 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17.
