These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] ("Forge," "we," "us"), governing your use of the Forge mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Forge. By using the Service you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. We will terminate accounts we learn belong to anyone under 18.
You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information, not to impersonate anyone, and not to create an account for anyone else.
Forge is a social application for endurance athletes to build a profile, share training and racing information, discover other athletes, and connect with training partners and friends ("Forging"). You may optionally connect third-party accounts (such as Strava and Instagram), subject to those third parties' terms.
The Service lets you create and share content, including profile information, photos, prompt responses, race and training details, and messages ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting it, you grant Forge a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content solely to operate and provide the Service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained as required by law or for backup. You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the rights to post it.
Forge has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You agree not to post content or engage in conduct that is: unlawful, harassing, threatening, abusive, hateful, or defamatory; sexually explicit or that sexualizes any person; violent or that promotes self-harm or dangerous activity; discriminatory based on any protected characteristic; infringing of anyone's rights; spam, fraudulent, or deceptive; a disclosure of another's private information; impersonating; or otherwise in violation of law.
Enforcement. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards, with or without notice. We commit to acting on reports of objectionable content and ejecting violating users — typically by reviewing flagged content and taking action within 24 hours.
The Service provides tools to report objectionable content or abusive users and to block other users. Use these tools rather than retaliate. Misuse of reporting to harass is itself a violation.
Forge can help you connect with other athletes, including arranging to train together. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. We do not conduct background checks, verify identities or statements, or endorse any user. Use caution and good judgment, especially when meeting anyone in person or sharing your location or plans.
If you connect Strava, Instagram, or other services, your use of them is governed by their terms and privacy policies, not these Terms. Connecting them is at your own discretion, and you can disconnect anytime.
You agree not to reverse engineer, scrape, or harvest data from the Service; interfere with or disrupt it; access it through unauthorized means; use it to send spam; or use it for any unlawful purpose.
The Service — its software, design, logos, and content we provide (excluding User Content) — is owned by Forge and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose.
You may delete your account anytime in the app. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any violation or for any reason at our discretion. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive termination.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Endurance training carries inherent risks; you participate at your own risk and should consult a physician before beginning any training program.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FORGE AND ITS OWNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR YOUR INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER USERS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED [THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PRECEDING 12 MONTHS].
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Forge and its owners from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or anyone's rights.
We may update these Terms and will post the updated version in the app and update the date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
